The Shawl Ministry is a service group dedicated to making things for charity. The members, affectionately known as the "Knotty Knitters" create a multitude of items including chemo caps, helmet liners, hats for newborns, scarves, sweaters, blankets and shawls. They have the knitting needles, patterns and yarn - all they really need is knitters. Even those who don't know how to knit or crochet are welcome - they love to teach!
They meet Mondays at 1:00 pm in Conklin Hall. They enjoy what they do so much that they seldom take holidays off! In addition to the great things they make, they have a wonderful time.
Below are photos of the knitters and some examples of the items they've knitted.
